*** Please note: Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound with Focused Within Prenatal Ultrasound must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a second trimester medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues.
Focused Within Prenatal Ultrasound requires verification of prenatal care from your healthcare provider prior to the performance of any ultrasound procedure. During the ultrasound session, we will be conducting a limited diagnostic scan, consisting of estimated heart rate, fetal presentation and number of gestations in the pregnancy. On request, we determine the sex of your baby over 18 weeks. If an abnormality is suspected, your physician will be notified and a report will be provided. Please note, at no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound.
